SEX EDUCATION LESSON from THE NEW ENGLAND PRIMER;^_1.

(Abstract: I) There are several important parts to Sex Education Lesson and THE NEW ENGLAND PRIMER. The "first and best part" includes those timeless principles that describe the standards of good, decent and civil behavior between people. For example, because we love God we therefore can love all of His created beings. The "first and best part" is contained in the basic education provided throughout the Primer text (with its own lesson plan) and the Holy Scriptures. The "second part" called The Sex Education Lesson, includes the identification of those victimizing behaviors that are abusive and destructive to the child but who can be warned and taught about the dangerous consequences of that behavior outside of marriage which as explained below.

One of the timeless principles of the "first part" is similar to Prevention is WISER than Cure. This idea is used in this "second part" because it is based on the premise that a child can learn (be discipled) at a young age to regain or remain pure and resist evil; and that, the sooner the better and that parents will want to use these easy lesson plans for that purpose. This method will benefit the majority of children who are instructed daily, in morals, ethics and self-control by the fact that some children:

(1.) will not yield to every temptation,

(2.) will benefit by strengthening their natural inhibitions and natural modesty. And if the child does yield to temptation that

(3.) he will be older, so that,

(4.) he won't yield as easily, which results in:

(5.) less frequent yielding and/or,

(6.) by trial and error learn that he can with God's help regain a 2nd chance ?

(7.) And how to accept it and how to profit from it.

The final result is a very large reduction in risk to both himself and his neighbor's: health, happiness, future well being and prosperity.

It is recommended that the parent pray with the child before each lesson. It is also recommended that the parent take time to pray, preview and review this lesson in order to establish the proper method and time frame to accomplish the goal based on the child's abilities.

^_'Example (# 1): a teenager might only need verbal instruction like "study the words in this lesson and write a 200+ word summary paper". But children younger than teens might require active parental participation with reading and then a one-word-a-day lesson with a review of that word as the beginning of the next days lesson and with an overall summary at the end, with or without a written paper.

^_'Example (# 2): as in Strong's Number 4205 -(fornication) definition below and in a typical Sex Ed Class the words "sexual intercourse" are sometimes used. The parent might like to prepare the child by re-establishing the correct definitions of topical words. For example, Webster's definition of intercourse is firstly normal relations so put an emphasis on the first definition, which is: "1. Intimate connection or dealings between persons or nations, as in common affairs, civilities, or business; communication. 2. Sexual connection." This will alert the child to think about our current culture and the direction of its ideas.

INTRODUCTION AND OVERVIEW:: This Sex Education Lesson is a simple dictionary type word study based on the NEW ENGLAND PRIMER words that were taught to the children. These biblical words were translated into the King James English from the New Testament Greek for which supporting texts and copies remain unchanged since the 2nd century i.e. for 1,800 years.; It should also be noted that these lessons of the first part and second part which establish boundaries of behavior i.e. a "hedge of protection"^_A.. is not an end in itself. The next lessons (third part) should be on the Biblical concepts of Grace, Mercy and Forgiveness. These concepts reaffirm boundaries and standards. These concepts are the basis for disciplining bad behavior and reestablishing the relationships of all concerned parties. Without the practice of the above principles any disciplinary treatment will appear unequal, unjust, arbitrary, condoning and preferential causing bitterness, envy and dysfunctional relationships. On occasion a child will insist on rebellious and riotous behavior, in that case, different standards i.e. more strict boundaries and tough love must be applied; but, it can be shown to the child to be examples of the parents special love for, and special protection for that child.; .
THE WORDS:: A review of the words in the THE NEW ENGLAND PRIMER reveals that some words in it describe the behavior of violent self-abusers, users and recruiters. The Puritan parents rightly taught those words that describe that bad behavior. The three words: adultery, whore and fornication are used in the PRIMER but are not used in today's Sex Education Classes because the purpose of some of the condom based Sex Ed Classes are designed to promote a very immoral life style. A proud, vane and hopeless life style that accelerates and promotes disease, death and destruction.^_4 These PRIMER words were taught then and now so that children can identify the poisonous venom of this self destructive behavior and provide a purpose and strength to avoid it. The root words, synonyms and gender parallelisms will be used to round out the lesson.; .

FORNICATION:

The word, fornication, was not used in its historical place in the 1996 Primer i.e. 1843 Primer, but was used in the 1777^_2 edition and other editions and was listed under "Words of five Syllables."! It is evident from this position in the elementary/primary part of the text that this word was studied, learned, spelled and used in writing and in speech in its correct context! Today's parents should take courage and take the time to teach their children these words since it is easily shown that prior Puritan generations and our Founding Father's generations taught them to their children. These concepts represent that part of a parents petition to God to maintain His "hedge ^_A.of protection" around the heart, mind and soul of his children.; .

2) metaphorically, the worship of idols 2a) of the defilement of idolatry, as incurred by eating the sacrifices offered to idols. ^_B.
Harlot and whore are feminine. Fornicator and whoremonger are masculine.

Another word that appears in the Primer is: whore. The word whore is used by 'Mr. John Rogers a minister of the Gospel ..' in his advice to his children. The use of the word by Rogers is defined below in item 2a however the child should understand both uses for complete understanding.; .

1) a man who prostitutes his body to anothers lust for hire

ADULTERY:

This word adultery is found in the SHORTER CATECHISM on page 46 in the Answer to Question 70.

All of the different New Testament Greek words that apply here are: Strong's numbers 3428, 3429, 3430 and 3431 plus their references to 3432. Total occurrences equal 35.

Note.: In Adultery 3428 above the word apostate is used as a synonym. Webster's defines apostasy as: abandonment of what one has voluntarily professed; total desertion of principles or faith.; In Matthew Henry's Commentary for, Deuteronomy 13:12-18 is the citation for the Lords definition of and commandment concerning this practice of being apostate. Henry identifies: 1.) the lack of enforcement of the commandment by the Israelites, 2.) the vanity of it under the gospel and 3.) references 1 Corinthians. 10:21- 22 for today's Christian believer. The commentary is strongly recommended for further reading.

OBSERVATIONS:: The Lesson begins with observing that the PRIMER words describe two types of negative relational behaviors. Behaviors between individuals and individuals and behaviors between individuals and God. As stated before these negative behaviors between individuals generally fall into the following categories: user, abuser and recruiter. The behaviors of individuals toward God fall into categories of sin and disobedience. These behaviors toward God become paramount because sin is always against God and it is always that sin that he will judge. It is the sin we commit when we say "I WILL do what I want" which displaces God, our Supreme Authority, from first place in our lives; hence, it is idolatry.; .

In the following series of thoughts we use the " = " sign to mean: gives evidence of

IDOLATRY = no faith = no discipleship = no discipline = no goals = no priorities = no vision, profit or purpose to life = no self esteem which often leads to cyclic bouts of hopelessness, despair and depression.; Contrariwise: Acknowledgment of: Jesus the Christ = God = faith = discipleship = discipline = goals = priorities = vision and purpose to life = superior stewardship of life = self esteem..; .; All of the inter relational behaviors of people, their blessings and consequences, are described in the Book of Proverbs and the proper relational behavior with God is described in the Book of Psalms. For anyone who has taught children from the Scriptures, it should be apparent that the child's understanding of the above words should eliminate all obstacles to teaching them thoroughly all of the timeless wisdom principles right out of the Book of Proverbs. And by extension, it was (and still is) the Puritan Parents goal to equip their child with all Wisdom from God's Handbook for Life; and give them character and integrity so they can exercise superior life management skills!; .

If by chance the foregoing lesson causes you personally to feel guilty or ashamed of some of the things you have done, know that God loves you and has a plan for you and wants to reconcile and reestablish your relationship with Him. Alternately, we recommend that you contact a local Christian church that teaches that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he is Lord and Savior and/or ascribes to the "Apostles Creed" and ask a counselor there how you can know God i.e. how to be "born again" spiritually. This church qualification test is very significant today since some denominations are openly ordaining and condoning clergy and priests who fit the word study definitions above i.e. apostate, idolater and idolatress!
