WINTER
`07
(2/23/08)
This page and the info is
new. It has been updated for the Winter
2007 here: https://neprimer.com/ePress/monitoringresultswinter07.asp.html
with the corresponding AFA Original Winter 07
Page:
Note: I have untuned ABC since 1997
because I am boycotting Disney
who owns ABC; and, I have deleted ABC
from the Original AFA Spring 07 Page:
; http://web.archive.org/web/20080420145442/http://www.afa.net/monitoringresultsspring07.asp - ed.Just as I annotated the previous page https://neprimer.com/ePress/monitoringresultsspring07.asp.html to better observe my own potential viewing Exposures; so I likewise have deleted ABC from this page and retabulated the results here. All edits are in magenta color. RESULTS of Untuning ABC = 94% Less Homosexual Exposures! - ed
Top Ten Pro-Homosexual Sponsors on Television
Summary: American Family Association monitored the top prime-time network programs* featuring lead or supporting homosexual characters, or pro-homosexual storylines. These programs were specifically identified by the activist-homosexual group GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) as GLAAD Media Award winners for their positive promotion of homosexuality.
* Programs monitored between from October 1 - December 31, 2007, with the exception of a single episode of NBC’s Law & Order.
Formula: Each program was recorded and reviewed to identify sponsors. For each ad, the parent company of the product advertised was given one point.
Only nationally placed ads were counted (local commercial breaks were excluded). The chart below reflects the top ten companies sponsoring the shows, along with the number of ads each company sponsored the program with.
Results: In each program monitored, homosexuality was promoted in a positive manner as a normal and accepted lifestyle. Some scenes included homosexual kisses and bedrooms scenes. In instances where opposition to homosexuality was portrayed, the opposing character was publicly ridiculed or condemned by the other characters on the program.
