Vance’s Picks for the Election.

Because of the differences concerning the Right to Life, active promotion of homosexuality, smaller central government, and placing Conservatives in government instead of liberals, I recommend the entire Republican Slate for State Offices, Governor – Jeb Bush, Lt. Gov. Frank Brogan, - Attorney General Charlie Crist, and Charles Bronson for Comm of Agriculture.Mike Fasano, Dennis Jones and Jim Sebesta for State Senator.Tom Anderson, Gus Bilirakis, Kim Berfield, Leslie Waters, Frank Farkas, Ken Feck, John Carassas, and Vincent Hopkins for State Representative.

For US Congress - Bill Young and Mike Bilirakus who have represented us well in Washington.

For Pinellas County Commissioner, John Marroni in District 6.

Since Justice Anstead voted to overrule the voters in the 2000 election, he should be voted out of office, vote NO on retention.Judge Wells was very vocal in his opposition to that vote, instead upholding the rule of law.Generally all Judges should be voted out, so we can elect others, but I think Wells deserves an exception for this vote.- All other Judges should be voted OFF the bench. Voting NO on retention

For Circuit Court Group 26, vote for George Brown, a committed Christian. In the School Board District 4, Tiffany Todd, also a believer. These are runoffs from the Primary in September and are critical races for us here.

Constitutional Amendments: Number 1, yes, 2, yes, 3, NO 4, No, weakens Gov’t in Sunshine Concept. 5, 6, 7 vote NO because power should be retained locally in the Counties and local Municipalities, instead of moving to Tallahassee where the citizen loses a significant measure of control.I understand you may have legitimate concerns on #6, but this should be dealt with by legislation on a local level through zoning.NO on numbers 8 and 9 unless you are willing to accept a significant tax hike, including a State Income Tax to pay for all this.#10 is ridiculous!! NO. #11, NO, our Universities are gaining ground under current conditions, this amendment is a step backward. In general, Constitutional Amendments are not wise government, most items should be handled through the Legislature where they can be carefully planned and funded.T here are no funding proposals with these expensive proposals.

Pinellas County School Board elections:With a County wide School District, a countywide election makes sense, vote NO. Lease Purchase, NO! A school could not compete with the noise of a busy commercial airport.

I can’t comment on all the city issues, you are on your own.Be sure you vote, and get 5 or 6 others to vote too!!We Need to Pray and Vote. There will be a pre-election prayer meeting Sunday, Nov. 3rd at Northside Baptist Church at 5 PM in East Hall, attend if you can.Vance
